The Legal Aid Subcommittee will be conducting a Legal Aid Awareness week from 3.09.2007 till 9.09.2007. Members who are interested to participate in the events are advised to contact the Chairman of the Subcommittee i.e. Puan Fatima Tahir Ali if they wish to volunteer their services for the same.
The events planned for the duration of the campaign are as follows:
- 3.09.2007 – Launching Ceremony and Talks at Anglo-Chinese School, Tranquerah, Malacca (11.20 am onwards)
- 4.09.2007 – Talks at SMK Sultan Muhammad (2.30 pm onwards)
- 5.09.2007 – Talks at MGS and radio show at Radio Melaka (10.40 am onwards)
- 8.09.2007 – Legal Aid Clinic at Tesco Melaka (9.30 am – 5.30 pm) *
- 9.09.2007 – Legal Aid Clinic at Tesco Melaka (9.30 am – 5.30 pm) *
* lunch will be provided to the volunteers on duty for the day
The Legal Aid Subcommittee welcomes the participation of volunteers in particular for the events on 8th. and 9th. of September as a large crowd is expected to turn up and avail themselves of the free advice provided throughout the campaign.
