State-Level Consultations with Members of the Bar – Revamp of the Legal Profession Act 1976

The Malacca Bar was honoured to be the first stop in the series of State-Level Consultations with Members of the Bar on the Revamp of the Legal Profession Act 1976.

 

The consultation was held at the Malacca Bar Auditorium on 21st November 2018 at 2.30pm and the panelists were Mr. George Varughese (President, Malaysian Bar; Co-Chairperson, Committee to Reform the Legal Sector (“CRLS”)), Datuk Kuthubul Zaman Bukhari (Co-Chairperson, CRLS), Ms. Karen Cheah Yee Lynn (Member, Bar Council; Member, CRLS) and Datuk Roger Tan Kor Mee (Member, Bar Council; Member, CRLS).

 

A total of 68 participants registered for the said consultation, and insightful feedback was given by members of the Malacca Bar who were present.
